Agape Goes to Cuba!

The Jewel of the Caribbean is our destination as we travel to Cuba ….

Reverend Cheryl J. Ward, Dean of the Agape University, and Akili Beckwith, ALSP, will be leading our group under a general license to travel to Cuba for religious activities.

We are thrilled to offer the opportunity to those who have never been to Cuba, and those who can’t wait to return, to join us for what promises to be an exciting and wonderful exchange of cultures, architecture, religious practices, religious ceremonies, art, music, dance, fine cuisine, and so much more.

Come experience the beauty and charm of Santiago where we will take a panoramic city tour.

We’ll visit the historic town of Trinidad, one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. And then walk the old cobble stone streets to the Valley of the Sugar Mills. There is much history in Trinidad and we plan to take it all in.

In Piñar del Rio, where Celia Cruz once performed, we’ll explore an old coffee plantation and visit the breathtaking cavernous caves where runaway slaves once were hidden by the indigenous people.

  • We will begin each morning with a sunrise meditation and an evening of sharing and meditation.
  • There will be time for you to explore the culture, art, dance, and music of the Cuban people on your own in the evenings.
